Empire waist dress is the best option if you are looking for a dress that will elongate your body. It hides lower-body figure problems and highlights your assets on the upper portion. 

Another option when looking for a formal dress is the halter dress, which brings focus on your pretty face. It also leads eyes to a woman’s earrings and nice hairstyle.
